Generating a diagnostic file for troubleshooting

You can run the Backup Exec diagnostic application to gather information for troubleshooting. Diagnostic information appears in a text file.

To generate a diagnostic file for troubleshooting

  1. Start Backup Exec.

  2. On the Tools menu, select Backup Exec Diagnostics.

  3. Select the appropriate options.

  4. Click Run Diagnostics.

  5. Click Close.
