You can install IDR as an option during the initial installation of Backup Exec 2010, or it can be installed later.
The Remote Agent must be purchased separately from the IDR Option, and must also be installed on any remote computer you want to protect with IDR. The Remote Agent is a system service that runs on remote servers and enhances backup and restore performance. It is required for IDR functionality.
