Preparing for disaster recovery of a deduplication storage folder
To prepare for a disaster, Backup Exec lets you take a snapshot of a deduplication storage folder. The snapshot includes the folder, the contents of the folder, and the database for the folder.

To prepare for disaster recovery of a deduplication storage folder

On the navigation bar, click the arrow next to Backup.

Select New Backup Job.

In the backup selection list, under Shadow Copy Components, expand User Data, and then select Backup Exec Deduplication Storage.

In the task pane, under Destination, click Device and Media.

In the Device field, select a tape device.

Complete any additional options that you want to use.

Run the job.
