General Deduplication Storage Folder Properties
You can view all of the general properties of a deduplication storage folder and you can change some of the properties.

Name |
Indicates the name that was entered when the deduplication storage folder was configured. It may be a user-defined name or the default name that Backup Exec entered. You can change the name at any time.

Server |
Indicates the name of the computer on which the deduplication storage folder was created.
|
Storage path |
Indicates the location of the folder on the computer. Symantec strongly recommends that you use a dedicated volume.
|
Database path |
Indicates the location of the database that was installed when you created the deduplication storage folder. You cannot change the location of the database.
|
Paused |
Lets you pause or resume the device.
|
Enabled |
Lets you enable or disable the device.
|
Online |
Shows whether the device is online or offline. If a check does not appear in the check box, then the device is offline. You cannot change this property.
|
Low Disk Space |
Indicates that the device is low on disk space.
|
Allow x concurrent operations for this device |
Indicates the maximum number of jobs that you want to run at the same time on this device.
|
Total Capacity |
Shows the total amount of storage space that is available on this device.
|
Used Capacity |
Shows the total amount of storage space that is being used on this device.
|
Deduplication Ratio |
Indicates the ratio of the amount of data before deduplication to the amount of data after deduplication.

Hardware Name |
Indicates the name of the storage array on which the deduplication folder is located. This property appears only if the deduplication storage folder was added to a storage array with the Storage Array Configuration Wizard.

Hardware Status |
Indicates the status of the storage array hardware. This property appears only if the deduplication storage folder was added to a storage array with the Storage Array Configuration Wizard
The values for the hardware status are as follows:
Refer to the vendor documentation and management software that are supplied with the storage array. After the storage array is brought online, the virtual disks are automatically brought online.

Hardware Health |
Displays one of the following values to indicate the health of the hardware:

OK The storage array is online.

Warning The storage array may fail or produce errors, but it is currently operational. The storage array and the virtual disks on the storage array are offline. Backup Exec cannot access them.

Critical The storage array has failed. The storage array and the virtual disks on the storage array are offline. Backup Exec cannot access them.
Refer to the vendor documentation and management software that are supplied with the storage array. After the storage array is brought online, the virtual disks are automatically brought online.
This property appears only if the deduplication storage folder was added to a storage array with the Storage Array Configuration Wizard

Disk Classification |
Describes the RAID level for the storage array.
Disk classifications are as follows:

Simple (RAID 0) A single physical disk, no striping, or parity. No redundancy/

Span A set of multiple physical disks that are concatenated together. No striping or parity. No redundancy.

Stripe A set of multiple physical disk extents with data striped across the physical disks. No redundancy.

Mirror (RAID 1) A pair or multiple pairs of physical disks with the same data written to each physical disk of the pair. Provides for data redundancy/
-
Stripe with parity (RAID 5 or RAID 6) Three or more physical disks with data striped across the physical disks, with one disk’s worth of space that is used for parity. Provides for data redundancy.

Unknown
This property appears only if the deduplication storage folder was added to a storage array with the Storage Array Configuration Wizard.

Logon account |
Indicates the logon account that is being used to access the device. You can change the logon account at any time.
