Mailbox group options

For an archive job, create a mailbox group that contains the selections on the Exchange Servers that you want to archive. You can also specify the retention category and archive rules for each group.

Mailbox group name

Designates the name of the mailbox group.

Retention category

Lets you specify the retention category for the mailbox group.

The default setting is the default retention category, which has a retention period of infinite.

Lets you create a new retention category.

Are older than

Indicates that the items that are older than the specified time are archived.

The default setting is one year.

Are larger than and older than

Indicates that the items that are larger than the specified size and are older than the specified time are archived.

You should archive larger mail messages more often than other messages. Specify a lesser amount of time in this option than in the previous Are older than option.

The default setting is 1 MB and one year.

Archive only messages with attachments

Indicates that the messages with attachments are archived.

The option is enabled by default.

Archive unread messages

Indicates that the messages that have not been read are archived.
