You can view a forest and the Database Availability Groups (DAG) that a forest contains in the backup selections pane. Backup Exec automatically adds the local forest that contains the Backup Exec media server to the Microsoft Exchange Database Availability Groups resource. All the DAG resources that the forest contains are also added to the list.
You must enter an Exchange Agent license key on the media server for each Exchange server in the DAG that you want to back up. You must then install the Remote Agent for Windows Systems on all the servers in the DAG.
To back up the individual servers in a DAG, you can make backup selections from , , or . If the DAG that contains the server is not in the list, Backup Exec automatically adds the DAG. You can also manually refresh the resource to discover a DAG.
