Backing up Enterprise Vault closed partitions
Use the following steps to back up vault store closed partitions.
To back up vault store closed partitions

On the navigation bar, click the arrow next to Backup.

Click New Backup Job.

In the Backup Selections pane, expand Enterprise Vault.

Expand a Directory on <Computer name> where the partition that you want to back up resides.

Do the following:
To back up an Enterprise Vault 7.x closed partition

Do the following in the order listed:

Expand an Enterprise Vault site that contains the server where the vault store partition that you want to back up resides.

Expand the Enterprise Vault server that contains the closed partition that you want to back up.

To back up an Enterprise Vault 8.x closed partition
|
Do the following in the order listed:

Expand an Enterprise Vault site that contains the vault store group where the vault store partition that you want to back up resides.

Expand the vault store group.

Expand the vault store that contains the closed partition that you want to back up.

Expand All Partitions.
-
Double-click Closed Partitions.
-
In the results pane, select the partitions that you want to back up.

In the task pane, under Settings, click Enterprise Vault.

Select a backup method.

In the task pane, select other backup options as appropriate.

Do one of the following:
To run the job now

Click Run Now.

To schedule the job to run later
|
Do the following in the order listed:

In the task pane, under Frequency, click Schedule.

Set the scheduling options.

Click Submit.
