Symantec Backup Exec

To start the Partition Recovery Utility

1. From the Enterprise Vault server, open a Windows command prompt.

2. Navigate to the Enterprise Vault Agent installation directory.

   For example, C:\Program Files\Symantec\Backup Exec\RAWS

3. Do the following:

   
   

   If you start the Partition Recovery Utility on a Windows Server 2008/2008 R2 computer	Type the following command: runas /user:<domain\administrator> partitionrecovery.exe -vs <vault_store_name> -ap <archive_ID>
   If you start the Partition Recovery Utility on all other supported Windows operating system versions	Type the following command: partitionrecovery.exe -vs <vault_store_name> -ap <archive_ID>

4. Press Enter.
