Active Alerts view and Alert History view
Backup Exec has two views for alerts: Active Alerts and Alert History.

The Active Alerts view shows the following properties.

Indicates the severity of the alert. The type helps you determine how quickly you want to respond.
The following alert types may appear:

Category |
Indicates the condition that caused the alert. Categories include Database Maintenance, General Information, Device Error, or Job Failed.

Message |
Indicates the text of the error message.
|
Time Alert Received |
Shows the date and time when the alert was received.
|
Job Name |
Indicates the name of the job that triggered the alert. This column is blank if the alert was not triggered by a job, such as for general information alerts.

Device Name |
Shows the name of the device on which the alert occurred.
|
Server Name |
Shows the name of the server on which the alert occurred.
|
Source |
Indicates the cause of the alert.
