New Job History Custom Filter options

You can create custom filters to limit the jobs that appear in the job history.

Name

Indicates the unique name of the custom filter.

Description

Describes the filter. This description appears on the Custom Filter Management dialog box. However, it does not appear in the Job Monitor view.

Enable this filter

Indicates that the selected criteria are included in the filter. After you enable a filter, you can select the specific criteria on which to filter.

Show job histories that backed up or restored data on this server

Indicates that you want to view histories for the jobs that backed up or restored a particular server.

Show job histories with the following job name

Indicates that you want to view job histories for jobs with a particular name.

Do not use a date range

Indicates that you do not want to filter the job history list based on when jobs ran.

For example, you enable the Job Type filter and select Backup as the job type. If you select this option, all backup jobs that have been run appear on the job history list.

Show last

Indicates that you want to filter the job history list based on when the jobs ran. You can select a specific number of hours or days on which to filter.

For example, you enable the Job Type filter and select Backup as the job type. If you select this option and set 24 hours as the range, only backup jobs that ran in the last 24 hours appear in the job history list.

Show using the following date range

Indicates that you want to filter the job history list based on a particular range of dates. You can filter by date and time.

For example, you enable the Job Type filter and select Backup as the job type. If you select this option and set the data range from December 1 to December 8, only the backup jobs that ran from December 1 to December 8 appear in the job history list.

Show only the last occurrence of a job

Indicates that you want to filter the job history list based on the last occurrence of the specified job types.

For example, you enable the Job Type filter and select Backup as the job type. If you select this option, only the last occurrence of each backup job appears in the job history list.

Filter job histories that have a byte count

Lets you filter the job history to show only the jobs that have a byte count that is larger or smaller than the size you indicate.

Filter job histories that have an elapsed time

Lets you filter the job history to show only the jobs that have an elapsed time that is longer or shorter than the time you indicate.
